The new LUCERNARIUM luminaire is an artificial skylight that simulates natural light in a way that until now was impossible.

This new luminaire is equipped with LED technology of last generation and its main function is to act as a skylight in spaces without natural light with which we can simulate natural light and its changes throughout the day. Its installation provokes the illusion that the room is really illuminated by the sun.
The technology is based on the emission in a specific light spectrum of natural light and the optical imitation of the beam of sunlight. This luminaire emits light in a zenithal and focused way, projecting a very defined outline that gives the room a completely natural look, like a space directly illuminated by the sun through a skylight. There is a perception that clarity comes from the sun itself - and not from a source of artificial light - a fact that has a positive effect on the mood. -

The light spectrum and the regulation of the circadian cycle. Physiological involvement.
The characteristics of the light emitted are automatically synchronized with those of natural light. At each time of the day, the spectrum received is similar to the spectrum in the external environment. This type of exposure plays a fundamental role in the proper regulation of the circadian rhythm, whose correct functioning is decisive in many aspects related to health such as the establishment of sleep patterns, regulation of hormonal rhythm and mood.
As technical aspects, we can highlight the following:
Design.
Design based on the use of multiple collimating lenses, allows to focus the light perpendicular to the floor, increasing the efficiency and allowing the emitted aspect to be like what would be experienced with sunlight.
Comprehensive management of time of day, year and geographical latitude.
By configuring the controller, the light spectrum varies automatically and progressively, the lighting adapts to resemble natural light. There is also the possibility of manually selecting the desired characteristics: quantity and tonality of light (color temperature) and amount of visible diffuse light, with the option of acting on the sun or on the sky.
Local or remote control.
With display and configuration buttons, or from Android smart device or Apple IOS. Luminaire compatible with the DALI regulation system
One of the places where it has already been installed is in the radiotherapy room of the VALL D'HEBRON hospital in Barcelona.
Throughout the conversations held with the professionals of the radiotherapy department of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, they tell us that what was wanted with the installation of this system was basically HUMANIZATION. Look a little beyond the treatment of the patient and try to offer comfort, warmth and a sense of confidence in a situation that is difficult.

The circumstances of the patients are considered, since the treatments to which they are subjected are dilated in time and it is a matter of establishing a human relationship with them, beginning by offering them a pleasant environment.
